“For me, there are many layers. I think that being a part of the association community has kind of been in my proverbial blood, so to speak. I recall growing up around the community, then as an adult working in the financial space, but seeing the great work associations do on a yearly basis has always fascinated me. There are so many under the radar unsung heroes, and to able to connect to their work and empower associations to be better for advancing their mission, vision, and their values, making an impact, to me, that was a no brainer. While we certainly love to make sure we make donations on an annual basis, this was something that once I shuffle off the proverbial mortal coil, I wanted to make sure that there was also a way to continue to support and reinforce the great work of the Research Foundation. This has always been close to my heart because the ASAE community is near and dear to our hearts. I was thrilled to be able to be a part of this, not just for volunteer purposes, but to know that even when I’m not around, there will still be some great things happening in the association community to continue to transform industry!”
