Background

Noticing this tremendous impact of young professionals within ASAE, Michelle Mason (Current President/CEO) approached the ASAE Research Foundation with an idea of an initiative to provide an opportunity specifically for young professionals. Michelle’s well-established commitment to the association community and experience working at various organizational levels of associations made this effort a priority. The intention of this effort is to provide opportunities aligned with ASAE’s value of workforce development and commitment to education

Description

The NexGen scholarship program will have a primary focus on workforce development. Each scholarship recipient will receive an award of $3000 which will be designated for travel, housing or additional cost related to any ASAE in-person event. In addition, all scholarship recipients will have access to an established executive within the association community for individual mentoring meeting(s).

Eligibility

  • ASAE Members and Non-members are eligible
  • Meet classification criteria to be consider a NexGen Association Professional as defined by ASAE
  • Commitment to participate in ASAE Research Foundation’ outreach activities
  • Professional letter of support
