About the ASAE Next Gen: Rising Star Award
Qualifying Nominees
- ASAE members who are 35 years old or younger.
- Individuals who have made a substantial, positive impact on their organization and/or the association industry.
Award Details
The Next Gen Rising Star Award recognizes an emerging leader under the age of 35 who demonstrates exceptional promise, dedication, and impact within the association profession and community. This award honors an individual who exemplifies innovation, integrity, and a strong commitment to excellence within their organization and community.
Recipients of this award are distinguished by their ability to inspire, lead with purpose, and drive positive changes, setting a powerful example for peers and future association professionals.
Eligibility
Please note: This is a nomination-based application. Self-nominations will not be accepted or considered for selection.
- Nominee must be age 35 or under at the time of application.
- Nominee must be a member of ASAE for at least two years (24 months).
- Nominee must be employed full-time as a staff member for an association.
- Nominee must have two years as an experience as an association professional working for an association, AMC, or affiliated non-profit.
- Nominee will need to provide letter of support from employer along with employment confirmation from HR of applicant’s employer.

January 12th, 2026 – Applications for nominations open
February 12th, 2026 – Applications for nominations close
February 17th, 2026 – Nominee notifications are circulated with next steps
March 15th, 2026 – Nominee applications close
May 1st, 2026 – Nominee application status notifications are circulated
